This is the promise that Steinemann Technology AG, a Swiss based machine tool builder, makes to its customers. To uphold this promise, Danobatt has become an invaluable partner to assure Steinemann can live up to its promise as the worlds leading manufacturer of wide belt sanding machines in the panel industry.
One of the many key components that make up a Steinemann wide belt sanding machine is its cylindrical drum, that is now being ground, in one setup, on a Danobat HG-92-5000 cylindrical precision grinding machine. Danobat’s HG-92 is equipped with an infinite programmable wheel head B-Axis, fully automated, integrated multi-diameter-measuring system (MDM) and active length positioning probe to handle part lengths of up to 200 Inches and weights of up to 11’000 lbs.
With this important investment, Steinemann is able to significantly improve the processing times of parts along with improved quality and precision. Each roll is ground using the multi-diameter measuring unit (MDM) to control each diameter. The MDM unit is then used, post-process, to measure all diameters, tapers and roundness. In other word, each part comes in a post-process inspection report for easy traceability in the future and if need be.
